Hello Medical, Dental and Veterinary Professionals!
Next week is the last full-time week in the classroom until May 2018. From 11/27 on, you will be at your internship site M, T, Th, F and here in the classroom on Wednesdays, AM will pick up another session, here for P2 and P3. Everyone check your schedules and be sure to accommodate the 8 to 10 hours per week needed to reach your goal of 180 hours. There are 25 weeks of internship coming up. Do the math and remember, you must go to site at the scheduled hours! Otherwise, I must be informed and respond to you directly about it - "talking" on the phone.
Want to be in the "Over 200 Hours Club"? You can receive a certificate for your portfolio and for some of you, 200 hours are needed for college programs.
If you were ABSENT 11/9 - We'll help you get your CC Binder in order. Madison K., someone offered to bring yours to you.
Reminders:
Wear your uniform MONDAY for the PHOTO! Badge, nice hair, etc. Just like you will look on 11/27!!
Purchase a small notebook that fits in the pocket of your scrubs and two sets of tab/dividers for your CC binder and your portfolio. Buy extra binder paper for journaling in the binder. We will build your CC binder on Monday.
Create a NEW COVER SHEET for the window front of your CC Binder. Use the logo from tvrop.org centered at the top and copy the rest from the original we did in class.
Put my cell# in your phone - (510) 305-5111 and communicate with me on all attendance issues, site concerns or questions you may have. My hours are still 7am to 7pm, so be sure to anticipate
the need and contact me accordingly. Give my number to your PARENT(s) for their phone too!!!!!
Check your VM box and greeting to ensure a message can be left and there is a professional
greeting.
Take care,
Ms. Erceg

We all have RIGHTS!
Hello All,
Exercise your patient rights, but first you have to read them! Know that you, as a consumer, have rights as a patient, but know these for the sake of your patients.
Read over Procedures 14.1 and 14.2 and I'll assign skit groups tomorrow.
Wash those hands! So many illnesses can be prevented by simple hand washing. Keep practicing!
PERMISSION SLIPS.....TURN IN TOMORROW IF I DON'T HAVE YOURS YET !!!

3. Wash your hands and teach someone, like a sibling, what you learned and feel free to view the
videos from last night's blog again too.
GHS: Hey all,
From Ms. Aubel at GHS:
The Health Peer Educators Club will be promoting the Great American Vapeout (smokeout) this month to spread awareness and encourage students to not Vape/smoke. We will be putting up posters in the classroom.
Good News! Ms. Buckley-Schreiber had her surgery yesterday and the doctor feels it went well. She is in recovery/ICU and I know she appreciates getting your cards and a cool new Med Occs shirt of her very own.
Have a great night!
