Hello Everyone,

Read/review the 3/14 blog for the graded hw due tomorrow. Contact me if you need help! Get as much information as possible from the medical insurance essentials (EHB) list from your parents, your insurance card and your medical insurance company website.  Thank you.

The GHS Expo is tomorrow night at 5:30, ends at 8:30. Set up will be at 4:45 so we have it all looking great. See you at 4:30 in the classroom, see below.

Volunteers:  Please wear your uniform, badge and women, please be stylish with your hair, up-do or ponytail. We can do your hair in the classroom if needed. Bring some food/water so you don't get too hungry during the evening. Meet me in the classroom at 4:30 so you can make our plan and have a bite to eat and some water before we go set up. We will be representing the following classes: Nursing Careers, Medical Occupations at both Foothill and Granada and EMR.

Hello Parents of the Fabulous Med Occs Student Interns!

Your student may need some help with the hw tonight.  As part of the life skills component of the course, I am requiring that they bring the information about their medical insurance and/or inquiring how to get it on their own with Blue Shield of California as an example.

Please see this blog entry from 3/14/18:

By the way, check the blog anytime you like!

We are in the downhill stretch of the school year.  Your son or daughter should be working hard on flashcards and training plan due 3/28 and their career and academic portfolio (Due 4/18).  Please have them review that with you. They may need you to dig up some documents, like achievement certificates.

On 4/11 they have an "Occupational/Informational" interview due on Wed. 4/11. (attached)
They are to choose 10-12 questions, email to the interviewee and will interview someone in a career they are interested in.  This interview can be done over the phone or via email.  Interviews in person are not recommended unless there is a parent present or approval based on it being a family member or friend.

I am so proud of everyone.  They are all doing a fantastic job in Medical Occupations ROP!
