Spring Break is almost here!  Please....notify your site and for those of you attending site during this time, remember the only days I have authorization for are MONDAY and TUESDAY, 4/2 and 4/3.

Porfolio DUE 4/18/18 (we will review contents once more on 4/11/18)

DEADLINE EXTENDED for occupational interview.  Now due on 4/18/18) along with your portfolio.
FORMAT:  Type the entire question, then type the answer.

Keep those journals filled with your site experiences, as those journal entries will be part of a graded assignment at the end of the school year.

Would you fix your CC hours log?  Kyra in the a.m. class found that the weeks/dates were incorrect for April and May.  Thank you Kyra!

Last Day of Internship 5/25     Interns return to class full-time M-F from Tuesday 5/29 to their last day assigned to the program via ROP regulations.  (5/28 is the Memorial Day holiday)

IMPORTANT Calendar Item!!!!  The Medical Occupations Graduation and Pinning Ceremony will be held the evening of May 29th at Granada High School.  Parents will be invited to watch you shine as you receive your certificate of completion and your official program pin.  We will be inviting internship supervisors, industry partners, school administrators, etc.

Here are some resources.  Be sure to check with the employer you may work for to ensure the program you choose for medical assisting and/or phlebotomy will be acceptable, making you eligible for employment!  Look for programs that have WASC accreditation - Western Association of Schools and Colleges

Due to a new flu strain emerging late this year, remain diligent with your hand washing and infection control procedures.  Wear PPE when you or the patient has a cough or fever.  If you're the one that is sick, let me know so we can talk about staying away from site or attending based on your symptoms. Hopefully, the threat of flu is over for all of us!

FOR 4/11: Bring your training binder, CPT/ICD-10/Superbill (charge slip) and your CC binder/timesheet.
