Hello All,

See how time is going by fast?  You have 26 days of internship remaining. (Add any Wednesdays if you attend site on Wednesdays) Please, check your hours log, do the math and see me if you are in need of additional hours. Starting on May 28th, you will report to class full-time M-F.

HOMEWORK:

1. Please talk to your parent(s) or guardian and give me a verbal RSVP for 5/29, the Medical Occupations Graduation and Pinning Ceremony at GHS, 6:00.  I will send home RSVP cards as well. I'm so excited for all of you!

2. How the informational interview coming along?  Now due 4/18.

3. Portfolio due 4/18 - I will cover all questions TOMORROW, please have your questions ready to avoid multiple texts and emails to me. Your portfolio is to be turned in complete and looking absolutely stellar. It's the book all about YOU.

4.Read over the questions on the CPT and the ICD-10 take home tests. Complete the first five on both and as many others using the links below or your browser. Bring these handouts to class tomorrow, including the superbill/charge slip. We'll work on them in class.

By the way, CPT code 71020 was recently deleted, so #1 on the CPT test will be explained. Wait....does 71046 work?

Women in Med Occs- need CC hours? Would you like to volunteer at an awesome event on Saturday 4/28?  It's called "She's All That" - an event supporting young girls.
See me about:

You will see there are openings in several areas which would be great for high school girls.
Floater means the volunteer coordinator can assign duties as required.

They could use one more person in the Expo to help with the photo booth.

There might be openings serving lunch and hospitality as well as classroom assistants and foot traffic flow.    The foot traffic volunteers would assist the girls in finding their classroom and mingle during lunch to help the girls feel comfortable.    I’m sure there are many timid girls in this age group and we want them to have a positive experience.

They appreciate clean up volunteers too.  At the end of day, we are pretty exhausted and we need to collect all supplies and haul it back to storage.

Lunch is provided for volunteers who work all day. Bring time sheet and have a coordinator sign off with their name clearly written as well as a signature.
