Ready to Interview Someone?

Hello Interns and Happy Friday!

As the deadline approaches for your career research paper, here are some tips on doing an informational interview with someone in that line of work.  This is also known as an occupational interview.

Regarding the disease/condition research, here is a site that may help you:

Please, choose quickly if you haven't already.  I don't want to see sloppy, last minute work, but two very professional looking research projects.  Questions?  You know how to reach me!

Looking for something to do this weekend???  Here's a thought.  Appendices I, II and III in your MT book at home needs to be transferred to flash cards in the next 6 weeks. (Complete by March 7th). Yes, I know it's work, but you'll never be sorry you did this.  20+ years of assigning this has resulted in people not only passing exams, but waiving courses, like Basic Medical Terminology. Maybe do this while you are listening to some cool music.  By the way, reading, writing or screen time of any kind is not recommended while watching tv. There are studies showing that it negatively affects the neurons in your brain, resulting in decreased capacity. Eeek, we don't want that!

Bring in your flash cards on 1/31 and impress the heck out of me with your progress, as many of you do!  Remember, some of you have left them in the classroom, so please check the classroom 1/24.

By the way, if I have not told you lately, I am proud of each and every one of you.  When you applied to this program, you committed to a class, internship component and the opportunity to demonstrate more responsibility that most have experienced during their high school years.  Let's stay strong and finish strong. (More on staying and finishing strong later). 😊

Take care and have a wonderful weekend!

Ms. Erceg
