I bet your supervisors and the patients are happy you are back!

Here are some reminders for this week:


Time Sheet and Journal:  Be sure to bring in your time sheet(s) on Wednesday and follow the journal writing criteria.  You can use this format with bulleted sections:

• Intention
• Details of the Day
• Communication usage and observation - good/bad/ugly
• Relevance to ROP training

Portfolio -  Have you turned in a resume'? If not....be sure to have it with you on Wed. 1/10.

Thursday, January 11th: College Life Decisions Panel for Parents and Students.
Amador Valley HS 1/11/18 at 7:00 to 8:30 p.m.  I will apply site hours for those who attend and bring back evidence of questions and answers on pursuing a medical career.

Site attendance has been approved for Monday, 1/15 if you want to get more hours in. Request permission from your supervisor to prevent crossover/overwhelming the site.  Other students at your site may have the same idea.

DUE 1/24:  Supervisor Evaluation of your progress at site.  Make an appointment with your supervisor (both if you have two sites) tomorrow for the week of 1/15/18.  There is no school on Monday, 1/15.

Upcoming Assignments DUE this month listed below.  I'll go over them with you Wednesday.  Think of what topic for each you will consider. 

1. Career Research on one OR two careers in medicine.  Go to BLS.gov or use other materials.

Education, salary, continuing education required, etc. The career (or careers) can be related to your internship if you wish. 

2. Disease Research on one disease of your choice.  Etiology (cause if there is one), symptoms, treatment (including medications), etc. This can be related to your internship if you wish.
