Hello You Fabulous Students!

Dear Students,

Good talk about muscles today.  I appreciate you breathing deeply and stretching today.  Try it at bedtime and when you wake up in the morning.  Set your intention for the day, perhaps something like this...."Today is going to be a GREAT day"!  Set the tone and even if there are a few bumps to get over during the day, know that you'll be better prepared if you started the day right.  That's what healthcare workers must do daily to be on their game for every patient they see!

Tomorrow, I will give you instructions on registering at LPC and getting your CCID or "W" number. This allows ROP to transfer college credit to you via our local community college.  This makes you a college student while still in High School. 😀 This is a requirement for all students, even if you never physically attend LPC (which I hope you do!)

Interested in getting college (or a lot of it) paid for?  Go to scholarships.com and let me know what you find.  You will be surprised about how much money you are eligible to receive!

Reminders:

For those given Traveler Forms today, please bring them in tomorrow. No physician signature required at this time. Already turned yours in?  No worries.

Review pages 111 to 126 of CH. 4, Section II for our work on muscles tomorrow.  If you have that completed, you may look ahead to the cardiovascular system in CH. 5 for a brief review.

Flu Shots - No later than October 1st.  For some of you not waiting on Kaiser, please do it this week.

No perfume or cologne allowed at site, and not in the classroom please.  I am very sensitive to those strong scents and get headaches, aka: cephalgia.

Keep up your Keenan assignments.  October 30th only seems like it's far away.  At this point, if you have not started, plan at least 4 to 5 modules per week.  Remember to print out a certificate of completion for every module!

Asia - We still want to hear your story about a diagnosis!  Sorry about getting sidetracked.

I'm sorry, I made a mistake, I'll make it better.  The guest speaker schedule for tomorrow is actually set up for October 12, not tomorrow.  I made it better by noting it on the board.

Take good care of yourself.  Good nutrition, good sleep and of course, deep breathing and stretching!

Ms. Erceg
