Lub Dub, Lub Dub, Inspiration, Expiration

Hello Folks!

We're wrapping up the cardiovascular system this week.  Next...Chapter 6, Blood, Lymphatic and Immune Systems.

Here's what to do tonight:

1. Sit next to a family member, or your pet, and count the number of respirations without telling them you are doing it.  Be sly and don't make it obvious.  Tell me tomorrow what you counted in 15 seconds.

2. Read Chapter 5 in your MT book thoroughly.  We'll cover terminology, pathology and diagnostic procedures.  HW:  See PG. 157 and look up online:  aneurysm  What is the common etiology? (cause)

3. Keep thinking about how you can help the angry or anxious patient without being disrespectful. How do you help a patient feel welcome, comfortable, heard?
We'll have a great discussion about that tomorrow.

4. ALL flu shots must be done by MONDAY, 10/9/17. You can get it tomorrow as well!
Make a plan tonight with your parent(s) on how to make that happen.  Leave a vm with your doctor's office, call CVS, Walgreens or a Safeway store that has a pharmacy.  Ensure they are ready for you, their hours and the best time to show up for your flu shot!

5. LHS:  Somebody please go see Ms. Cabading in the Career Center and get an LHS logo for our wall!

6. W# trouble?  Have your CCCID#?  Let's look at the website together.  See me before or after class.

Have a nice evening.

Ms. Erceg
